Home Appliances: Secrets for Safe Packaging
Moving is a demanding activity in itself: we have to organize it with good anticipation, plan numerous aspects and give ourselves to a very intense day.
One of the most complicated aspects of moving is the transfer of electrical appliances: they are large and heavy (therefore uncomfortable to move) and, in addition, they are exposed to blows that can condition their operation. To prevent this from happening, better follow these tips.
Washing machine
Disconnect it two days before the move, to dry completely. It is also important to roll up the evacuation hose and place it in the drum, which you can fill with soft elements (eg pillows).
Fridge
You should also disconnect it one or two days in advance, especially if it is the old one that has a freezer. Completely empty its contents, clean and dry everything. Separate the trays and drawers, unless you can fix them with packing tape, so they do not move. We also recommend covering the fridge with sheets, avoiding scratches.
Televisions and desktops
As a first step, clean them before starting the move. Separate cables that can be disconnected, store them in a separate place and, if necessary, identify them for when you reconnect them. It is very convenient to wrap these appliances with bubble paper or similar and put them in a box appropriate for your size (if you still have the original packaging, much better).
Dryer
Since there is no water inside or sensitive parts, much preparation is not necessary. Yes, better to cover it with a blanket.
